IFI designs, manufactures and installs cellulose insulation systems engineered for tropical performance. From our Subic Bay facility we deliver application-specific solutions for residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings nationwide.
Founded in 2012 by Hugh McDougall, IFI combines local manufacturing, system-led design and controlled installation — one accountable team from assessment to handover. This integrated model removes third-party variability and supports consistent installation quality and dependable project delivery.
IFI is part of the AIS Group of companies, bringing Australian engineering standards to Philippine construction and agriculture.
From one product to a nationwide platform
2012 — Manufacturing begins
IFI establishes cellulose insulation production in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, bringing proven fibre insulation technology to South-East Asia.
2016 — The SHIELD range launches
Four application-specific systems — NoiseSHIELD, HeatSHIELD, WallSHIELD, AgriSHIELD — formalise years of field experience into a specifiable range.
2017 onward — Marquee projects
Google, the Solaire Theatre, The Medical City, El Nido resorts and major BPO fit-outs prove the systems at scale in the most demanding environments in the country.
2020s — Agricultural expansion
AgriSHIELD becomes a trusted climate solution for poultry and swine integrators across Luzon, alongside the AIS Group's agricultural building business.
