The IFI SHIELD Range

One material, engineered four ways. Every SHIELD system is manufactured from the same borate-treated recycled cellulose in Subic Bay — what changes is where it goes, how it is applied, and the performance it is specified to deliver.

Headline numbers are material performance at the stated thickness. Acoustic values (NRC) are tested to ASTM C423 on solid backing; R-values are thermal resistance at the stated thickness. Assembly performance depends on the full build-up.

The material

What every SHIELD system is made of

♲

Recycled cellulose fibre

Paper collected locally in the Philippines, processed into fibre at our Subic Bay facility under controlled production processes with full traceability.

◈

Borate mineral treatment

Borate-treated for fire retardancy and resistance to mold and pests: natural borates give the material its Class A rating and make it inhospitable to mold, insects and rodents — without adding toxicity.

⚙

Non-corrosive formulation

Formulated to sit permanently against metal purlins, sheeting, studs and fixings without accelerating corrosion.
