TELUS — Le Grande, BGC

The challenge

TELUS runs one of the largest call-centre operations in the Philippines, and the Le Grande floors were designed around an exposed-ceiling concept — no suspended ceiling to hide an acoustic tile behind. Left bare, a structural slab is a large, hard, reflective surface that returns every conversation to the floor below, adding reverberation to an already dense open-plan environment. The brief was acoustic treatment across three full floors that kept the exposed-ceiling architecture and delivered a uniform, finished appearance.

What IFI did

IFI spray-applied NoiseSHIELD gray cellulose directly to the underside of the structural slab on the 7th, 8th and 9th floors. The work ran as a controlled sequence: ocular inspection of slab condition and services, masking and protection of MEP, lighting and fire-protection components, mechanical spray application with particular attention to slab edges, corners and the areas around services, curing, then an ash gray paint finish over the cured cellulose so the treatment reads as one surface with the exposed structure.

The outcome

A total of 8,219 square metres of slab now carries a continuous sound-absorptive surface, finished and inspected floor by floor with localised rectification before turnover. The exposed-ceiling design is intact, and the absorptive ceiling plane helps reduce reverberation and support speech clarity across the working floors — the outcome a call-centre operator of this scale specifies for.
